I believe the disturbing revelations of dysfunction in the Department of Veterans Affairs health care system can be an opportunity to transform that system into one that truly serves veterans, if we follow some simple recommendations:
Rep. Jerry McNerney (D-CA) today announced that he had received a 100% score on this year’s National Immigration Scorecard, which is issued by a coalition of national Latino groups. The score is the highest that any member of Congress can get.
Over the past few weeks, I have continued to focus on the issues that matter to you, like honoring our veterans, improving public safety, and protecting our natural resources.
Just a few weeks ago, I sent a letter to President Obama asking him to create a new federal task force to address the economic challenges faced by communities in the San Joaquin Valley.
A few weeks ago, I was excited to file my reelection paperwork for California’s Ninth Congressional District. With your help, I will keep fighting for what’s right for you, for our district, and for our country. I’ve been hard at work on the issues that matter, and I’ll be sending you email updates like this
“I’m proud to represent the people of the Ninth Congressional District,” said Congressman McNerney. “No one works harder than the folks in my district, and I will continue to fight for them in Washington.”
The National Republican Congressional Committee has (already!) announced 40 Congressional Democrats it wants to pick off in the next election — and Rep. Jerry McNerney isn’t one of them.
Thank you for all of your support that led to my successful re-election in California’s Ninth District.
