You made this victory possible. You knocked on the doors, made the phone calls, donated you money, walked the precincts and convinced your friends and neighbors to get out and vote.

Together, we started this journey several years ago with a vision and a desire to change the direction of our country.

Over the last two years in Washington, I've worked hard to make you proud and represent your values. I've fought for the things that matter, and I've returned home every weekend to meet with as many people as I could to hear what was on their minds. And I've enjoyed every minute of it.

And, even though we face great challenges, I am re-energized by our victory tonight and I am optimistic that we can turn those into opportunities for our country to propser and once again gain our moral authority in the world.

Again, thank you for everything you have done for me - and for our future.
